Faith Formation


Faith Formation is the religious education program of Holy Spirit Church.  Rather than focusing exclusively on children, however, our program is meant for all members of the parish community.  Faith formation is a life-long process; thus, people of all ages are welcomed to our catechetical sessions.  


Dates & Times:
School Age Formation - Holy Spirit Faith Formation for K4 through 12th grade will meet on a weekly basis between the Sunday morning Masses beginning on Sunday, September 13, 2009 and concluding on Sunday, May 23, 2010. 

Adult Faith Formation - Holy Spirit offers a variety of opportunities for adults during the course of the year. 
Great Adventure Bible Study - meets on Wednesdays at 7pm.  Contact Monsignor Flaherty for exact dates and to purchase supplies.
Scripture Study - meets on Tuesday mornings at 9am in the Seton Building.
Women's Study Group - This group is established as a circle of the HSCCW.  This is a topical bible study program.  Please contact the office for information on upcoming sessions.
MOMS (Ministry of Mother's Sharing) - Learn to share the stress, concerns and positive experiences that have influenced your personal growth.  Experience the support of other women as you discover the depth of your spirituality.  This group is for mothers, grandmothers, godmothers of all ages and is usually offered in a daytime or a nighttime 8-week session in the fall.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) - RCIA is for those interested in becoming members of the Catholic Church or learning fundamentals of the Catholic faith.  RCIA will meet in the Macon Room on Tuesdays at 7pm beginning August 23, 2009.

Great Adventure Bible Study, Women's Study Group, MOMS, and Scripture Study - Cost of Materials

For your scheduling convenience, please note we will NOT meet on the following Sundays:  September 6, 2009, November 29, 2009, December 20 and 27, 2009, January 3, 2010, February 14, 2010, March 28, 2010, April 4, 2010, and May 9, 2010.

During the 2009 - 2010 year, we will examine the Catholic faith using a variety of different topics from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the weekly lectionary.  Come and join us as we journey together!
